Rachel the actress grew up in Texas and moved to New York to earn a Bachelor of Music from NYU. She never left (NYC, she did graduate). After a few years in regional theatre and some scary new workshops in the city, her "extra" job overcame her and she became the reigning Queen of Jell-O. She managed to break free (although she still holds the title) and has had a revived and happy career in the arts ever since. Rachel the runner picked up the sport of running while living near Central Park. Although keeping fit was important, she didn't know what she was doing. That was true well after she ran her first marathon in 1999. After a naive first attempt on the New York Marathon course, she came back the next year smart and strong (and 54 minutes earlier). Since then she has run 4 more including Chicago and Austin. For some memories (in the form of long race reports) click on the running link below.

She can balance 3 jobs, marathon training and 50 projects at a time, but give her 2 tables and someone isn't getting their appetizer. So to make ends meet she works for Watson Adventures -- a really interesting and fun way to explore one of New York City's museums or fascinating neighborhoods.
